About The Course
The IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®) is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. ITIL is a best practice framework that has been drawn from both the public and private sectors internationally. It describes how IT resources should be organised to deliver business value, documenting the processes, functions and roles of IT Service Management (ITSM).
The accredited ITIL® Foundation e-learning course provides you with an understanding of the internationally-recognised best practice terminology, structure, generic concepts, and the core principles of ITIL practices for IT service management and, therefore, fully prepares you for the foundation examination. It is broken into bite-size sessions, combining leading-edge multimedia and interactive exercises for optimum enjoyment and knowledge retention. The ITIL Foundation level course will enable you to gain sufficient knowledge and understanding of the key elements, concepts and terminology used in the ITIL service lifecycle, including the links between lifecycle stages, the processes used and their contribution to IT service management practices.
The certification is aimed at current and aspiring professionals in IT Service Management (ITSM) who requires a basic understanding of the ITIL framework and how it may be used to enhance the quality of IT service management within an organisation. Also IT Professionals or anyone who are working within an organisation that has adopted and adapted ITIL, who need to be informed about and thereafter contribute to an ongoing service-improvement programme. The Foundation certification is also an entry requirement for the ITIL® Practitioner certification and the range of ITIL® Intermediate certifications.
You do not need any qualifications or work experience to start the ITIL® Foundation course.
By the end of the ITIL® Foundation e-learning course you should be able to gain knowledge and understanding in the following:
• service management as a practice and the ITIL service lifecycle,
• the internationally-recognised best practice terminology, structure, generic concepts and definitions, and the core principles and models of ITIL practices for IT service management,
• the processes, functions and roles that help service management staff to deliver and support quality products and services,
• technology and architecture, and competence and training.
Course access duration is 12 months.

Official Exam & Accreditation
The Accreditation body is the AXELOS.
• computer-based exam format, taken online via Online Proctoring (webcam, microphone and valid ID required). Further information available here,
• consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions. Pass mark score is 26 out of 40 available (65%),
• examination duration – 1 hour,
• closed book examination.
There is no re-certification requirement; the ITIL® Foundation is a lifetime certification.

Alternatively, you could continue to Cyber Resilience RESILIA® Foundation certification to improve your knowledge in building Cyber Resilience across the organization.
